Jesse Matthews

As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Matthews helps people with many short and long-term concerns. This includes issues of mental health or substance abuse, as well as helping people to work through difficult life issues or events. Dr. Matthews works with individual clients 18 and older.

Dr. Matthews’ education includes a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from Immaculata University (2012); master’s degree in clinical psychology from West Chester University (2004); and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh (2000). Dr. Matthews has been a PA licensed psychologist since 2013.

Over the past 20 years Dr. Matthews has gained experience with issues like: depression; anxiety; substance abuse (including abstinence and harm reduction); ADHD and behavioral issues; Asperger’s/Autism Spectrum Disorders; relationships; and work/life balance concerns.

Outside of work, Dr. Matthews enjoys time with his wife and three boys and living an active lifestyle. Dr. Matthews is a runner and a sports fan. He enjoys traveling with his son and watching him play ice hockey, going on vacation with his family, and going on snowboarding trips with his sons. He grew up skateboarding and snowboarding and was instrumental in advocating and fundraising for construction of the Downingtown Skatepark.
